Hi!

Jun(Runqi) Zhou

is a Brooklyn-based designer and creative technologist from Beijing, and is currently persuing MFA Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design. She holds a BA degree from NYU Gallatin School of Individualized study with a concentration of Cyberspace Narrative. Her works create experience and narratives by design toolkits, emerging technologies and multi-media practices.

Experience




As a designer, she likes to explore design issues through the lens of social factors and information aesthetics. Jun enjoys to create accessible and inclusive experiences by an empathic mind and detailed-oriented visual languages. Previous, Jun interned at The Future Laboratory, and ByteDance for interaction design and visual design roles.

As an artist, her practice focuses on transmedia storytelling and critical media studies, with technological approaches like web art, VR/AR, computer imaging simulations. Her contemplation and research in the realm of human-media interaction builds the foundation of her explorations. Her works have been showcased and published at DiGRA 2024, NYC Resistor, iidrr Gallery, and MiRNArte.
